Use cases

AI-assisted strategy consulting, from discovery to a decision memo.

Use client interviews, research and your methodology to develop a strategic diagnosis. Challenge the assumptions, edit the report and choose the recommendation yourself.

What starts the work

A client asks for a strategic view of a situation that is still moving — and the question you were engaged on is not quite the question that matters by week three.

How it usually goes

Discovery sits in transcripts, the analysis in a deck, the reasoning in AI conversations, and the partner’s feedback in an email thread. Each revision starts by reassembling which of those still applies.

Inputs

What you start with

  • Interview notes and workshop transcripts
  • Client documents and research shared with you, with source dates and known gaps
  • Prior decisions and the constraints already agreed
  • The firm methodology that applies to this kind of question

The workflow

How the work moves in Launchpad

  1. Create a project room and add the discovery material, agreed constraints and methodology you want the specialists to use.
  2. Name the decision to support and ask for an initial diagnosis: findings, supporting evidence, alternative explanations and questions still open.
  3. Bring in the specialist perspectives the question needs, plus a critic and a validator.
  4. Ask the critic to challenge causal claims and the validator to flag unsupported conclusions. Check their assessment against the original sources yourself.
  5. Edit the report: correct factual errors, weigh conflicting evidence, and separate what the client told you from assumptions and recommendations.
  6. When the report is ready, generate the client-facing diagnosis or decision memo from the version you approved and review it before sharing.

Human judgement

What stays yours

Which findings are material, which are defensible in front of this client, what the commercial reality makes viable, and what is ready to present. Launchpad does not make those calls.

Output

Fit

When this is worth it — and when it isn’t

Launchpad adds real structure when…

  • The engagement runs over weeks and the question keeps being reframed.
  • More than one person contributes to the analysis.
  • A partner reviews the work before it reaches the client.

It probably adds little when…

  • A single short advisory conversation with no durable artifact.
  • Work where the answer is already known and only needs writing up.

See it on this kind of work.
